The Human Resources Business serves as the face of HR to our leaders, managers and associates. This position is responsible for providing HR partnership and consulting to designated client groups within NAOU Supply Chain/ Northampton, MA that will help build capability and develop employees creating the right talent, right leadership and right culture to grow our business. Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
Partner with leaders to do organization design, capability planning and create a strategic people plan
Conduct needs analyses to identify and establish priorities regarding human resources plans and development activities
Partner with client leadership to develop and execute HR plans and change initiatives
Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to identify staffing requirements needed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization (aligning with an overall talent plan); works with business leaders to participate in activities to promote the hiring and retention of a qualified and diverse workforce
Facilitate, participate in and develop action plans arising out of the company's talent management process
Partner with leaders to establish proactive employee culture and communications initiatives, such as Listening Sessions, Town Hall Meetings, leadership assimilations etc.
Implement and facilitate training programs (face-to-face, or computer based training) as required
Work with managers to ensure fair and consistent application of work place policies and programs
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations; partner with Employee Relations to ensure investigation and resolution of associate complaints, issues and concerns; partner with internal/external legal counsel to respond to and defend lawsuits and complaints filed with outside agencies
Implement and execute other initiatives as directed by manager or required by company
Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, Human Resources or related field or relevant experience required; post graduate degree in related field Related Work Experience: Minimum 7 years exempt-level Human Resource experience required Functional Skills
