WAREHOUSE/PURCHASING MANAGERSUMMARY: Responsible for the overall operation of the warehouse and effective operation of the purchasing, shipping, receiving and stock areas by performing the following duties.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for ongoing inventory optimization, controls, analysis, security and reporting with an emphasis on continuous improvement and inventory performance.
Enter new items into inventory system immediately so it pushes through to Onyx (customer database). Update pricing when sales confirmations are received. Vendor invoices and PO’ pricing must match.
Prepares items for shipping, receiving, storing and inventory.
Oversees and performs incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Reviews records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures. Manage inventory levels to avoid overstock and stockout situations by keeping a constant check on stock levels in the warehouse as well as the service vehicles, and factoring in purchase and delivery lead times. Perform/manage periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventory count. Assist and prepare items required for servicing and installation activity. Being present inside the gated area every morning and engaging with employees to facilitate proper inventory control and efficient retrieval and sign-out of parts and supplies by technicians and installers. Develop and execute Water Techniques’ purchasing strategy Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules and quality; Identifying potential suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them. Accurately records and inputs purchase order, receipts, and return information into ERP system.
Reports and resolves any discrepancies in orders. Creates purchase orders for low stock levels. Producing weekly, monthly reports and statistics using Excel Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner for the working environment. Learn the function of products Performs other related duties as assigned.
