The HRBP will direct all aspects of the HR function, ensuring HR alignment and support for strategic objectives. The HRBP will report to the Sub Regional HRBP. What You Will Do In Your Role
Manages the development and administration of all personnel-related activities
Oversees and ensures that personnel-related policies and practices are in compliance with all State and Federal Regulations
Assists management with regular and temporary recruitment needs; job posting, advertising, interviewing applicants, background checking, and hiring. Establishes a tracking system that monitors and measures the number of candidates applying for positions and responding to advertisements to ensure cost effective recruitment efforts are made.
Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services as needed
Oversees new employee orientation program to provide new employees with information on company history, company products, safety security, policies and procedures, and employee benefits.
Introduces new company benefits as needed to ensure that the company is competitive with the local market. Processes enrollment and status changes and handles employee questions/problems.
Manages and administers the wage and salary program by utilizing labor market surveys to ensure internal pay equity and participates in salary surveys on a regular basis.
Keeps current job descriptions on all positions and ensures that pay ranges are established and updated annually to stay current with market value and provide internal equity. Establishes job descriptions as exempt or nonexempt in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requirements.
Assists management with employee relations issues, ensuring that the company handles them in a professional and legal fashion.
Develops, Implements and reviews company personnel policies and procedures on a regular basis and ensures that they are in compliance with Federal, State and local employment laws. Updates the Employee Policies and Procedures as needed and communicates policies and procedures to management and employees.
Establishes and maintains a performance appraisal system and ensures that annual performance appraisals are done in a fair and consistent manner.
Develops and conducts employee and management training on various personal related and safety issues on a regular basis
The Experience You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in the HR function
Excellent communication skills
Strong leadership capabilities
Problem solving abilities
Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Must be able to interface well with all departments and levels within the company
Attention to detail and ability to follow-up, is essential
Teamwork, lean manufacturing background
Working knowledge of PC and spreadsheet application
Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and meet close deadlines
Strong organizational skills
Develop project plans; coordinate projects; communicate changes and progress; complete projects on time and budget
