The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Rental Assistance Program (RAP) Coordinator will administer all activities associated with the HCV and RAP programs. This is a part-time position at 25 hours per week.Duties and Responsibilities: Administer all activities including eligibility determination, new lease and contract executions, re-certifications and monitoring participant program compliance. Seeks guidance, support and direction from HCV Asset Manager in administration of activities. Follows up as necessary with the Inspection Department to ensure new inspections and annual inspections are ordered and completed. Notify applicant of available subsidy; determine final eligibility and process new lease-up documents. Understand and keep current on public housing policies and procedures and federal, state and local codes, rules and regulations as they pertain to job responsibilities, particularly those related to SEMAP and QHWRA. Participate in landlord outreach activities as directed by the HCV Asset Manager. Provide administrative assistance to the HCV Asset Manager with required data tracking, program reporting and maintaining management tools and logs. Assist in administrative activities such as scheduled staff meetings, report preparation, performance review sessions, informational sessions, etc.Required Skills and Abilities: Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication, proficiency with computers including MS Office suite software. Must be proficient using the Internet and electronic mail programs. Must have the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks and coordinate completion of tasks across departments or functional areas. Strong familiarity with principles of public and property management and a familiarity with the needs of low-income families and individuals. At least two (2) years of experience in a public housing agency administering HCV Program activities preferred.Physical Requirements: Employee will work in an office environment and use a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required.Job Type: Part-timePay: $17.70 per hourSchedule:Day shift
