POSITION: Medical Assistant (Possible Trainee)
SALARY: $17.18- $ per hour DOE
REPORTS TO: RN
LOCATION: Inchelium, WA; Keller as needed

The Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers is accepting applications for Trainee position to accomplish the following certifications, Certified Medical Assistant. This training program is for individual that is serious about becoming a healthcare worker. LRCHC will pay for individual to receive trainings and pay for all certifications.
Trainee complete training program Healthcare Apprenticeship Program, through the Washington Association for Community Health.
After the Trainee has received the certifications they will be expected to be able to do the following:
Patient Care: MA
Vital signs, assessments for office visit.
Performs EKGs, nebulizer treatments, ear lavages.
Applies splints, braces and dispenses crutches.
Setup and assist with procedures for Pap and IUD removal.
Performs wound cleaning and dressing.
Administers sub Q, IM, intradermal injections, and oral medications.
Makes follow up calls to patient and documents correctly.
Directs patients to appropriate areas for treatment and escorts as necessary around health center facilities
Cleans and autoclaves instruments, exam rooms, procedure equipment.
Maintains and re-stocks appropriate levels of exam and procedure room stock supplies.
Ensures proper documentation in patient medical chart including all coorespondance with patients and other providers, medications, and any other information relevent to patient care.
Receives the appropriate training and provides back up support for laboratory and registered x-ray technician as needed.
Work within limits of certification under direct supervision and direction of Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners or other staff as directed.
Performs all duties using universal precautions and appropriate protective equipment as required to reduce exposure to infection, blood borne pathogens and hazardous materials.
Works as a team member with clinical and non-clinical staff.
Professional conduct, ethics, and confidentiality are expected at all times.
Other Duties (specific to each individual employees duties):
All other duties as directed by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, training as a medical assistant with current credentials in WA state.
Ability to work effectively in clinical environment
Trainee must complete healthcare apprenticeship program successfully
